Jesus Gives Hope
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. - 1 Peter 1:3-6
Yeshu said we are blessed when we are poor, hungry, weeping, and mistreated. But that doesn’t seem to make sense? We certainly don’t feel very blessed when we are in these kinds of situations. So how is this possible? Yeshu’s teaching offers hope by reminding us our present hardships are temporary and do not compare to the joy that will come when we choose to follow him. Instead of dwelling in feelings of defeat, we find hope as we focus on the future promises he made. He says those who are poor now will receive a kingdom in heaven. To those who are currently full of sorrow, God will give laughter. And if anyone is persecuted because they follow Yeshu, they are not alone and there is a great reward waiting for them. Beyond the pain and struggles of this world there is hope because Jesus has overcome the world.
The only way to experience this hope is by trusting on Yeshu as the Muktidata. Yeshu gives his followers by filling them with hope that they get to live an eternal life without suffering or pain in his presence in Heaven.
